I’m a 60 year old man that was prescribed Mounjaro for borderline type 2 diabetes, after multiple failed diet attempts. Last October. I was well overweight, and overall feeling pretty rough. As of today, I’ve lost 72lb, and according to blood tests, the pre-diabetic situation has been completely reversed. Although still an old fart, my general quality of life has improved 100%. I must admit that I was pretty sceptical at first, but this stuff has been a total game changer for me. The only side effects I’ve experienced, have been, initially a little stomach cramping, and on and off belching. All in all, Mounjaro really has changed my life for the better.
Congratulations, you should be very proud of yourself for sticking the course and remaining determined. I think we all hope to reach our goal before we begin to wane a little. I for one have only 1st 10lbs to go, though I only wanted to lose 3st anyway.
I too have managed to sidestep side effects, I know some people struggle, however, if they can just push through I’m sure the effects are worth the struggle.
Good luck, I’m sure with your attitude you will soon reach your goal.
I am just coming up 73 and have started taking it in April for OSA and prediabetes and to lose some weight was 17 st now 14 7lbs. Feel much better and alert. OSA has gone completely and now drink less and swim 3 times a week - like you said it is a gamechanger - now on 12.5mg and still just losing a little weight - will probably stop at this dose and hope for 14 st and hold there
Congratulations, it’s great to hear a success story! Just a suggestion, if you are ok with herbal teas, peppermint tea is good for calming the stomach, so is ginger.
You are an inspiration….Kind Regards.
