Maybe not working

I’ve been on mounjaro for 6 weeks and only lost 7lbs, I’ve changed my diet to healthy stuff. Is it only my diet that has worked?

Hi Jolread1_m, I’m also a slow loser, just going into week 10 and only 9lbs down so far, but actually our losses are okay and well within the guidelines for a healthy rate of loss.

So many factors make a difference, from starting weight, age, how active we are etc. Mounjaro’s main job is to stop the food noise and make us feel full quickly so that it enables us to make the right food choices, so yes, it probably is down to your healthy eating, although I do believe (and someone will hopefully correct me if I’m wrong), that it also helps with any metabolic or insulin resistance disorders, so in theory it should 'help to ‘fix’ these too.

Well done on your first six weeks and good luck as you progress.

Thank you, I’ll keep on going :grin:x

1 lb a week is a good healthy weight loss rate. However do remember that the drug just makes you less hungry, it does not activity make you loose weight. The initial low doses will have less effect than the stronger ones you can move up to.

It is still the calories in / calories burnt equation that is the deciding factor.
